Boulder - May 28 - 31
Please come and help collect
signatures for Ballot Initiative #53, for publicly funded campaigns in
Colorado. This is a big opportunity to get lots of signatures. Boulder has two
huge events on Memorial Day weekend (May 29-31). Boulder Creek Festival
(Saturday, Sunday and Monday) established in the late 1980s and attended by
crowds of literally thousands, who come to enjoy live entertainment, art shows,
market fairs, music, amusement rides, and the famed Rubber Duck Race along the
Creek. Bolder Boulder (Monday) a leading running race, attracting more
than 40,000 in total, watched by even more cheering spectators. This
long-distance race is 10 km / 6 miles and ends up at the Folsom Field. People
could collect signatures along the route and at the end of the race at CU Folsom
Stadium. The race starts at 7 a.m., so people could collect start collecting
signatures at the stadium after 7:30 a.m. or so. Along the route, people could
collect signatures between 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Meet on Saturday and
Sunday at 12:30 pm at the Boulder County Courthouse between 13th and 14th
Streets on the Pearl Street Mall . It's just one block north of the Boulder bus
station (for people taking the bus to Boulder, which would probably be a good
idea this weekend). Call Carolyn at 303-444-6981 x2 if you want more information
or want to connect at a different time. Carolyn Bninski 303-444-6981

Boulder
What about a plan
for Monday? I'm thinking for the Bolder Boulder, we could work the stadium
between 9:00-11:00 or so and then do the creek festival? Where to meet is the
challenge for stadium...
... it might be good to also mention the Denver
Downtown Annual Arts Festival all around 16th street mall - that also runs
5/28-5/31
